Tesla Opens India’s Largest EV and Servicing Center in Gurugram
Inauguration—The Dawn of a New Era
On November 27, 2025, Tesla India launched its first “all-in-one” center at Sector 48, Orchid Business Park, Gurugram. This is the company’s largest physical presence in India to date. ([The Times of India][1])
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini was present at the inauguration ceremony. He said that Haryana can become not just a market but a powerful manufacturing hub.
The Importance of the Center—Everything Under One Roof
This new Tesla Center will house a retail showroom, after-sales service, vehicle delivery, and charging stations—all under one roof. This means customers won’t have to travel to multiple locations.
Not only can vehicles be viewed and booked, but test-drives (specifically for the Tesla Model Y) will also be offered, along with charging via V4 Superchargers.
Additionally, the center will showcase the company’s advanced robotic technology—a humanoid robot named Optimus Gen 2 is shown here, as was previously the case in Mumbai and Delhi.
🇮🇳 Tesla’s Strategy in India and India-EV-Impact
In addition to this Gurugram center, Tesla has already opened Experience Centers in Mumbai (Bandra-Kurla Complex) and Delhi (Aerocity)—but these were solely for vehicle demonstrations or sales. The Gurugram center now fully integrates service, charging, delivery, and retail for the first time.
Tesla has leased 33,475 square feet (sq ft) of space in Gurugram for nine years, making it clear that the company is ready for a long-term investment in India.
This move will strengthen the EV infrastructure (charging, service, and sales) in the Delhi-NCR region—making EVs more accessible and reliable for the general public.
Haryana’s role—not just a market, but also a production hub?
At the inauguration, the Chief Minister of Haryana stated that the state is not only suitable for sales, but could also become a potential manufacturing hub for Tesla. He spoke of Haryana’s favorable environment for investors, strong policies, and industry-friendly infrastructure.
This initiative is a major step towards promoting electric vehicles (EVs) in India, strengthening an environmentally friendly transportation culture, and developing the EV ecosystem in the country.
Why is this news important?
The opening of an “all-in-one” servicing, charging, delivery, and retail center in India by a prestigious global EV brand like Tesla positions EVs as reliable everyday vehicles, rather than just a luxury or show-off.
This will provide convenience to customers in purchasing and using EVs—which could boost EV adoption in India.
The potential for manufacturing investment in a state like Haryana could strengthen India’s auto and EV industry, increase employment, and pave the way for developing the EV supply chain domestically.
